The 1848 2nd Generation Cabernet Sauvignon is an award-winning kosher dry red wine from Israel's renowned 1848 Winery. With roots tracing back to Israel's first modern winery in 1848, this wine represents 175 years of winemaking tradition combined with contemporary excellence.
WINEMAKING:
Grown in the premium vineyards of Galilee and the Judean Hills, this Cabernet Sauvignon is carefully crafted by Israeli-trained winemaker Ilan Assouline. The wine is aged in Israeli and Israeli oak barrels to develop complexity while maintaining the fruit-forward character of Israeli terroir.
TASTING NOTES:
- Nose: Blackcurrant, cassis, cedar, and subtle vanilla
- Palate: Full-bodied with dark fruit, well-structured tannins, and hints of spice
- Finish: Long and elegant with lingering oak and fruit
