1848 Special Reserve is a dry red blend from 1848 Winery, crafted in Israel's Galilee region from grapes grown near the Gilboa Mountains ridge in high-density clay soil. The blend leans on Cabernet Sauvignon alongside Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah, and Merlot, then spends roughly 26 months maturing in French oak. Expect dark fruit — black currant and plum — layered with cedar, baking spice, and a rounded, velvety texture through a long finish. A structured, food-friendly red built for grilled meats or aged hard cheeses.
