Borgo Bella Montepulciano D'Abruzzo is a dry red wine made from the Montepulciano grape grown in Abruzzo, the mountainous region east of Rome on Italy's Adriatic side. The blend can include a small percentage of Sangiovese for added structure. Expect an inky, opaque color and an aromatic nose of black cherry, ripe plum, and warm spice, leading to a fruit-forward palate of blackcurrant and dark fruit framed by well-integrated tannins. Full-bodied yet easy-drinking, it's a versatile pour for pasta with red sauce, grilled meats, or aged cheese.
