Herzog Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Generation IX comes from the Stags Leap District, a compact Napa Valley AVA of roughly 1,200 acres known for pairing power with elegance in its Cabernet. Part of Herzog's tribute to nine generations of winemaking, each vintage is aged in a single French oak barrel for over two years, yielding a deep garnet-colored red with layers of black cherry, blueberry, and rose petal, closing on warm, spiced tannins. Pour it alongside a seared ribeye or rack of lamb to match its structure.
