Carmel Limited Edition is the flagship Bordeaux-style red from Carmel Winery, Israel's historic producer founded in the Galilee in 1882. This dry red blends Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, fermented and aged in French oak for 15 months before another year resting in bottle. Expect deep purple color, layered notes of blackcurrant, cassis, and bittersweet chocolate with a whisper of smoke, and a full-bodied, long finish. Pour it alongside roasted lamb, aged hard cheeses, or herb-rubbed dishes with rosemary and thyme.
