Chateau Les Riganes Merlot is a red Bordeaux from Entre-Deux-Mers, the appellation cradled between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers in southwestern France. Produced from Merlot grapes grown on this region's sand-and-clay soils, it pours a deep, brilliant red and opens with aromas of ripe black cherry and black fruit alongside a touch of vanilla. The palate is velvety, with silky tannins carrying through to a long, fruity finish. Serve with grilled lamb chops and mint sauce, or alongside roasted wild mushrooms and seasonal vegetables.
