Château Meyney's Saint-Estèphe red comes from one of the Médoc's oldest estates on Bordeaux's Left Bank, where monks first planted vines in the 1660s. This Cru Bourgeois blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grows on a gravel hilltop cut through with a rare vein of blue clay, aged afterward in French oak barrels. Expect dark currant and plum fruit layered with tobacco and spice, wrapped in velvety, structured tannins. Pour it alongside grilled lamb or aged hard cheese to match its depth.
