French Selection presents Clos Triguedina, a Cahors red from the Baldès family, growers in France's Lot Valley since 1830 and among the founding estates of the Cahors appellation. The blend leans heavily on malbec alongside merlot and tannat, aged about a year in oak barrels that soften the tannins. Expect a deep garnet color, dark berry and blackberry notes, and hints of spice and licorice on the finish. Cahors is malbec's original home region — pour this one alongside grilled steak, duck, or charcuterie.
