Drappier Carte d'Or Brut Champagne comes from Champagne Drappier, a family house founded in 1808 in Urville, in the Aube district of southern Champagne, now run by Michel Drappier and the eighth generation. Created in 1952 by André and Micheline Drappier, Carte d'Or is built on at least 80% Pinot Noir, giving it a near Blanc de Noirs character with notes of white peach, orchard fruit, and pastry spice beneath a fine, persistent mousse. Serve chilled around 46-47°F as an aperitif, or alongside white meat, firm fish, or a wedge of Chaource.
