Founded in 1959 in the town of Tequila itself, El Tequileño still follows Don Jorge Salles Cuervo's original recipe. This reposado starts with mature Blue Weber agave from the Los Altos highlands, distilled in copper pot stills with mineral-rich water from the Volcán de Tequila. Three months in large American oak barrels rounds it out: vanilla and gentle oak on the nose, cooked agave, tropical fruit, and caramel on the palate. Sip it neat, or let it carry a smoky margarita.
