Hajdu Petite Sirah Dry Red Wine comes from Hajdu, a small-lot Berkeley, California winery sourcing this bottling from two vineyards in Dry Creek Valley. True to the varietal, it pours inky and layered, with blue fruit, camphor, forest floor and lilac on the nose, and blueberry, black currant, dark chocolate, earth and herb notes carrying through on the palate over firm, structured tannins. Hajdu builds its wines around a minimalist approach that lets the fruit express itself. Pour it alongside grilled steak, braised lamb, or aged cheddar to match its density.
