J Folk Pinotage is a dry red wine from South Africa, made by the small-batch J.Folk cellar, which sources fruit from growers across Stellenbosch, Swartland, Paarl, and surrounding Cape wards. The grapes are hand-picked at dawn from low-yielding blocks, then gently extracted using native ferments where the fruit allows and aged on lees or in neutral oak until the wine is ready, not on a schedule. Expect ripe red cherry and plum fruit with a thread of spice and a smooth, velvety finish. Pinotage's structure suits grilled meats, boerewors, or aged cheddar — pour it slightly below room temperature to keep the fruit bright.
