Laufer Cabernet Sauvignon is a dry red wine from California, made by Laufer Winery, founded in 1999 by winemaker Mendel Laufer. Laufer sources California-grown Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and crafts them into a full-bodied red, aiming — as the winery puts it — to let raw fruit "shine" the way a diamond cutter reveals a stone's sparkle. Expect ripe black cherry, plum, and sweet currant on the palate, with Mediterranean herb, cedar, and tobacco notes carrying through the finish. Pour it alongside grilled steak or roasted lamb to match its structure and spice.
