Magia Extraña, or "Strange Magic," earns its name in the barrel: an Extra Añejo aged at least three years at NOM 1581 in El Arenal, Jalisco. What sets it apart is the French oak, which lends softer tannins than the usual bourbon casks. Expect a deep amber pour with tobacco, dark chocolate, citrus zest and cooked agave on the nose, then honey, cocoa and toasted almond across a velvety palate. Sip it slowly, neat, when you want something to linger over.
