Pacifica Malbec is a dry red wine from Washington State's Columbia Gorge, produced at Evan's Vineyard on Underwood Mountain, a 95-acre estate planted at roughly 1,800 feet elevation near the Oregon border. The winery, launched in 2010 through a partnership with Royal Wine Corporation, focuses its production on Pacific Northwest fruit. Expect the dark-fruited, velvety character Malbec is known for — think ripe blackberry and plum with a smooth finish. Pour it alongside grilled steak, lamb, or aged cheddar.
