Psagot Merlot comes from vineyards planted nearly 3,000 feet up in Israel's Judean Hills, in the Binyamin region north of Jerusalem, where high-altitude limestone terrain slows ripening and concentrates flavor. This 100% Merlot ages 13 months in French oak, arriving in the glass with red forest fruit, red plum, and dark cherry over a soft, medium-bodied frame. A dry red built for the table, it's a natural match for grilled or roasted meats, where its fruit and gentle tannins have room to work.
