After its first maturation, the whisky rests a second time in ex-Amoroso sherry casks, and you can taste the payoff: briny sea-salt and crisp peat smoke meeting sweet sultana, roasted fig, and date, with the peppery kick that's pure Talisker. Bottled at 45.8%, it finishes long and drying with a note of cocoa. Pour it neat with a drop of water on a cold evening.
