From a family estate on a limestone hillside in Chianti Classico's southern Vagliagli zone, this Sangiovese-driven red (95% Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon) is grown organically and hand-harvested at 480 meters. Twelve months in French oak brings out a bouquet of cherry, wild berry, and violet, layered with earthy spice and a whisper of tobacco, while bright acidity and polished tannins carry a long, smooth finish.
