The Botanist starts as a wheat spirit distilled at Bruichladdich on Islay, using 22 wild botanicals hand-foraged from the island's coastline and moorland alongside nine classic gin aromatics like juniper and coriander—then, for this Cask Rested expression, it settles into a selection of fine Islay casks for at least six months. The wood adds warming spice and oak viscosity to the usual candied citrus and floral notes, while the finish still snaps back to fresh juniper and herbs. Try it neat or over ice with an orange slice.
