Wemyss Malts' The Hive is a blended malt Scotch whisky built around a signature Speyside single malt married with more than a dozen others drawn from the Highlands, Lowlands, and Islay. Non-chill-filtered, it earns its name honestly: think heather-blossom honey and florals on the nose, then orange and ginger warming the palate, finishing zesty with a clove-spiked grapefruit edge. Wemyss suggests it neat or on the rocks, but it also shines lengthened with cloudy lemonade over ice, or shaken into an Old Fashioned or Whisky Sour riff.
